All of the necessary clinical elements of the retina practice are already in this software. Workflow Each person in the practice who has access to EMR will have his or her own workflow that will include everything they do with a patient and all of the information they need to review about the patient. Electronic Routing From check in through the entire clinical encounter the system is automatically time stamping each entry along the way with the users name. This allows you to see what events have already happened with each patient and to analyze workflow bottlenecks in your practice. Patient Messages and Email In addition to complete documentation of everything in the electronic chart, we have an integrated email system with a history area specific to each patient. Personal Chart Entry We have designed a tool that allows you to easily have not only all of what you need to document but how you would like to enter the information. We have an automated flow with many options for the layout of the screen and the type of choices for answers. This is designed for instant entry of information. Personal Chart View This is where the electronic chart really helps the physicians. Physicians can create as many dynamic flow sheet displays as they like, which will show them exactly what they want to see about the patient over time instantly. At the same time the system will display what has been done with the patient today. Also, at the same time the documentation is being automatically generated based on your specific requirements. It will then be electronically signed off and the letters which will be faxed or printed. Scanning In order to completely replace your paper chart, we have designed a very easy to use scanning system which allows your personnel to instantly update the electronic chart with outside paper documents such as insurance cards, ID cards, patient consents, outside paper referrals, old film etc. Imaging Our imaging includes many features such as thumbnails of all selected digital images, drawings, and scanned images. We have many quick options to compare images side by side or sequentially. You can manipulate the images and draw on them. All images for a patient are part of the permanent electronic chart and can be viewed at any time. Drawing We have two drawing products. One is a direct draw, which allows your technicians to make quick drawings for your review. The other is our advanced draw product. We have several draw formats of which our fundus is the most popular. We have designed several options to instantly draw and document including our drag & drop mode. Electronic Superbill This allows you to easily select the diagnoses and procedures for each patient encounter. This is integrated into the E&M and Eye Code logic which you have approved to help you bill at the correct level. Automated Plan Physicians can design their own automated plan by presenting condition. The plan will include medications, diagnostic tests, patient education, procedures and follow up plan. Letters and Documentation As you are entering information about each encounter, the system is automatically formatting your referral letters and chart documentation. We work with you during implementation to format the documentation and letter formats you prefer. We also connect to voice recognition software, digital voice recording, diagnosis specific paragraphs, Windows transcription software and direct typing for any special patient specific information you would like to add. This is Microsoft's enterprise level database. HCIT is a completely open system that means not only do we utilize an open database but we also give you access to every single piece of your data. Since it is an open Windows platform and design, you may also use a mouse or direct type or use any Windows voice recognition software.
