We provide complete computer solutions to Ophthalmologists in the United States and Canada only.  We work with any size ophthalmic groups including departments of ophthalmology.  You may select from any combination of our software applications: practice management, scheduling, scanning, ASC and ophthalmic electronic medical records (including imaging and drawing).  You may also decide to implement your EMR by phases such as by department, by location, by specialty or by physician.  We team up with you to create the best solution for your group.

Technology

All of our products run on the latest Microsoft Windows Enterprise Operating System using the Microsoft Enterprise Database SQL ServerŪ.  You can select the type of equipment you prefer to use.  We have advanced security, data encryption, thin client for fast display, touch screen for quick entry or drawing and wireless so you can view any chart anytime.  The technology we have chosen is completely open so that you have access to every piece of your clinical data.  And, of course, our software is HIPAA compliant.

 

What makes the HCIT EMR different?

·         Truly designed for touch screen entry where most others require a significant amount of typing. (We also allow typing, pick lists, and voice.)

·         Complete workflow by each sub-specialty or doctor to display and document only what you do.  Too much information on the screen will slow you down.

·         Separate entry by department such as Technician, Physician, etc. with your display preferences for review.

·         Our EMR is true Multi-Specialty Ophthalmology instead of a General Ophthalmology EMR with all doctors using the same screens.

·         Our screen display is easy to see.  The screen is not overcrowded and does not require a larger than standard size screen to view the data.

·         Many quick entry mechanisms, such as auto pull in last visit, so you can focus on the patient instead of the computer.

·         Our software was designed from the ground up for ophthalmology, since that is all we do, instead of a primary care EMR with ophthalmology lists.

·         Not just direct color drawing, but drag & drop images which label and document too.  We also have a special scribe mode.

·         Our EMR is designed in the latest technology significantly enhancing wireless display.
